Our cute little (yellow!) console table

I've been plotting this little console table for quite some time now. I bought the wood for it when I bought the wood for the headboard, but it sat and sat until finally last week I had time to put it together.

I combined a few plans from ana-white.com to make it perfect for our little hallway.

I went with yellow to make a bright, fun statement in the hall, plus I figure yellow matches everything. (Or so I have convinced myself lately, I love yellow!)

So, I've also been working on a bar for our garage. I can't wait to share when it's finished!

Guest bedroom (part III)

And our guest bedroom is complete! I still need to make a few throw pillows but other than that, it's done! I built one shelf to hang above the bed and prop my picture of Lanikai and other beachy things on. (I just printed it at Walgreens and modge podged it to canvas.)

I had my heart set on one of these shadow box shelves too, but all the ones I found in the store were pretty expensive and not the right size. So I made my own! Sorry the picture is so bad, but it's so cute with jars of sand and seashells on it.

Finally, I made a 'Beach' sign to hang above the door. Love it!

Finally, we have a nice, relaxing guest room for our visitors!
