2011 Christmas cards

I realized in my holiday cooking, crafting and traveling, I haven't shared any of my projects with you! I was crazy busy before we left trying to finish Christmas presents, Christmas cards and more house stuff. Now I'm playing catch-up.

We decided to send a combination Christmas/change of address postcard this year. I'm obsessed with postcards. I think they're so practical. You save half on postage, you can include a cute picture and whatever you want to say and then people can hang them on their fridge as a reminder. I love them.

Anyway ...
I didn't want to take Christmas pictures. We just had a billion taken for the wedding and we were running out of time to get these out. One afternoon we were hanging out on the beach and I had a vision of what I wanted our card to look like. Like usual, PJ didn't understand what I was thinking, so he was less than enthused. That's ok, he went along with it anyway. We had a mini photo shoot, complete with ornaments and seashells. It was so much fun!

Here's the result...

Happy Holidays from our 'Ohana (family) to yours.
May the Christmas season fill your home with joy, your heart with love and your life with laughter.

Look what I found!

OK, I know I haven't been on in a while. Sorry! We finally got settled in and unpacked and then it was the holidays. We hosted a little Thanksgiving party, which meant I had an entire turkey dinner to cook for the first time (it all turned out wonderfully -- if I do say so myself) and then it was back to the mainland for Christmas and New Years. I'm back and getting in the groove of things again.

In my unpacking I came across some interesting finds. Back in college, I wasn't near the organizer I am now, so I found some pictures from the first wedding I shot with my friend Emily Forsberg photography. I thought it would be fun to share a few shots. I was the backup photographer so I wasn't responsible for any of the main shots, just the fun details! They had a small, intimate wedding with only close friends and family up in the Colorado mountains. Their reception was tiny and the venue was so sweet and romantic.

These weren't the only old artwork I found... I might be sharing more soon. I have to laugh at my college self, I've come so far in such a short time. My design, photography and personal life have all changed immensely, all in good ways. Hopefully I can say the same thing in another 3 years.

Hope you all had an amazing holiday season and here's to an amazing 2012!
